I concur. The Best Mexican food in the area. Small shoebox with nothing but Excellent Food and Service. Ok they were out of guacamole which was strange, but the food and chips were so freaking good. We ate at one of the two small tables outside. No liquor license but enough for 4 meals for 30 bucks and Tasty!! That can't be beat.
Small restaurant with fantastic food. We had Enchiladas Verdes Green Salsa Enchiladas and Tlayudas-Mixed Meat. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Fast service.

Awesome family owned Mexican restaurant in downtown Manasquan. Really good prices and massive quantities. Highly recommended if you're in the area and in the mood for Mexican food. Great place to bring kids because they're friendly, they have high chairs, and it's fairly calm in there. My daughter had a great time.
This is a gem of a spot on Main Street in Manasquan--it really makes the area feel complete and adds more variety in an area with lots of Italian and American restaurants (which are still good). This is a great restaurant to go to for delicious food and friendly service, and your business also supports a local family. It is definitely more of a casual place. There are two outdoor tables, and a bunch of tables inside. It is always clean and inviting with its decor and music. Note it is BYOB! You always get chips, and two salsas, one mild and one spicier. My personal favorite is the enchiladas verdes. It comes with three chicken enchiladas, rice, and and beans. It is a very large portion, which depending on how hungry you are, you can split it or have leftovers :) The dishes are made fresh and always come out hot, which I appreciate. I love that the chicken in this enchilada is shredded as well. Ordering takeout is easy, just call, and it has never diminished the quality of my food. I did so this past week and had a great experience, with everything hot and fresh--even the fries were crispy by the time I got home. Important to add that the prices are amazing. We ordered 2 entrees and a side of fries (lots of food!) and it was only $24 which in my opinion is great. This is a local staple and one to check out if you are looking for fast, fresh, and authentic Mexican food!
Great little addition to Manasquan this newly opened Mexican restaurant serves up some tasty food in a very nicely decorated spot right on Main Street. Friendly and inviting atmosphere along with value driven pricing make for a nice dining experience. Our food was delicious including a nice tres Leches dessert. Give them a try!

Authentic Mexican food. Came here with my girlfriend. Solid food. Relatively authentic food; more authentic vibe. Normal service. I used to live in Mexico, so I can be a bit picky about my Mexican food lol, but I think it's pretty authentic food at La Cocinita.
